Spyke and leather: a love story spanning over 40 years.
Spyke’s activity starts during the Seventies with a laboratory producing leather goods. At the beginning of the Eighties, it made its début in the world of off-road motorcycling, producing specialist clothing dedicated to motocross and enduro riders.
Since 1990 worn by the Leaders.
At the beginning of Nineties Spyke débuts, as torch bearer of Made in Italy quality and design, in the world of leather suits, choosing the main global showcase: the world speed championship. An operation that proves to be a winning move: 1993 salutes the success of Spyke suits as a collection and riding with the 125 class World Champion, Dirk Raudies from Germany.
In Year 2000 the brand finally stands out internationally: during a single racing season, Spyke wins no less than two hugely presigious World Championships: in 500cc Class, the top one, with a US rider, Kenny Roberts Jr, with the Italian Roberto Locatelli in 125 cc Class.
Designed by riders for riders.
Huge business achievements then follow, year after year, with the extension of the range to goods aimed to Gran Touring and Urban Mobility, with the introduction of specialist accessories and footwear.
In 2010 Spyke becomes a Limited Company, and is acquired by the Zanin Family.
The growth and expansion strategy of the brand starts from a thorough care for the final product, which comes from a careful study of the needs of a rider in action and from the desire to experiment and innovate, testing any innovation and product on road and on track, under any weather.
A winning pedigree. Right from the beginning.
Spyke's image is connected since many years to the greatest two-wheeled aces: such as Mamola, Barros, Capirossi, Chili, Brookes, Toseland, Mc Coy, Slight, right to the Australian rider Troy Bayliss, three times World Champion in Superbike Class and unrivalled idol for the majority of enthusiasts, in any Country.
